Stronger Hips, Stronger You
Hip pain is a condition characterized by discomfort, soreness, or aching in the hip joint or surrounding areas, often caused by injury, inflammation, overuse, or medical conditions such as arthritis, bursitis, or tendonitis.
Symptoms of hip pain can vary depending on the underlying cause but often include aching or sharp pain in the hip joint, groin, thigh, or buttocks. The pain may be constant or worsen with movement, such as walking, climbing stairs, or standing after sitting for long periods. Stiffness and a reduced range of motion in the hip are common, making it difficult to perform everyday activities. In some cases, there may be swelling, tenderness, or a clicking or popping sensation in the joint. The pain might also radiate down the leg or worsen at night, especially when lying on the affected side.
