Mark Poolan – Clinic Director

I started practicing in 2011 after graduating from the University of Northumbria. Since graduating I worked in one of the top Sports Injury Clinics in Newcastle gaining knowledge and experience treating a wide range of patients from adolescence to professional athletes. My biggest achievement to date was getting recognised from the British Association of Sport and Exercise Science as a Certified Exercise Practitioner (CEP). I am currently the only person in the North East to hold a CEP status.

Laura Knight – Clinic Manager

Following her passion, Laura has excelled with a first-class honours degree in Sport and Exercise Rehabilitation. Laura’s education and personal development qualifications has led to her specialising in treating clients with back, hip and sciatic pain through the use of manual therapy and Pilates exercise. My biggest achievement to date is having two of my research papers critically acclaimed and published in the Newcastle College Seven Bridges Journal.

Steven Moon – Senior Soft Tissue Therapist

Steven is a Soft Tissue Therapist who lives and breathes our vision and philosophy and has continued his professional development and went onto become further qualified in Advanced Medical Acupuncture and Dry Needling, Myofascial Dry Cupping, Shockwave Therapy, IASTM and Osteopathic Manipulation Techniques. Since his lower back surgery, Steven has taken a particular interest in the rehabilitation from lower back and sciatic pain. In his spare time, Steven is a keen runner, which he has developed an interest in lower limb pain and rehabilitation.

Sarah McMillan – Soft Tissue Therapist

Sarah is a Soft Tissue Therapist accredited with the Association of Soft Tissue Therapist (The SMA) and has a vast amount of educational and hands on experience within a clinical setting. After completing her BSc and MSc in Sport and Exercise Rehabilitation, she has went on to continue her professional development and become further qualified in myofascial dry cupping, medical acupuncture and osteopathic spinal manipulations. Sarah strongly believes in a evidence based hands on manual therapy approach in order to facilitate and achieve patient specific goals.

Amy McCartney – Soft Tissue Therapist

Amy is a Soft Tissue Therapist who graduated with a degree in Sport and Exercise Rehabilitation accredited by The British Association of Sport Rehabilitators (BASRaT). Amy has a vast amount of clinical experiences working with clients suffering from work based aches and pains along with professional athletes. She is currently a Sports Therapist for SAFC working with both male and female teams such as the Pro Game Academy. During and after graduating from university, Amy went on to further her skills as a therapist and become further qualified in multiple treatment modalities making her stand out from your traditional graduate. She went on to become further qualified in medical acupuncture, myofascial dry cupping therapy, shockwave therapy, IASTM and kinesiology taping.
